At Home Feeling
Most of us, most of the time, fit one of 3 default self-centered ways of doing:
1) acquisitive
2) aversive
3) confused.
Fear, anger, or anxiety seem to be the underlying energies fueling these states. Though almost continuous, we never really feel "at home" in any of these states. That's what keeps us dissatisfied, constantly searching for happiness. Or some of us just give up.
Mindfulness practice eases us beyond these ways of doing and allows us to increasingly experience awareness - a way of being. This does feel like "home," and yet, because it's not our default mode, we need to practice resting in awareness.
