Dreaming
What if we didn't take anything personally, but lightly as though life were but a dream? What if we even took our "self" far less seriously? And what if our "self" were as substantial as "footprints of birds in flight"?
I am an old man
and have known a great many troubles,
but most of them never happened. Mark Twain
At the same time, what if we took the welfare of other people, creatures & the environment way, way more seriously, more personally even - as if there were no separation between "me" & "them"? Imagine truly seeing ourself in all "others" - "I am that".
Love says: "I am everything".
Wisdom says: "I am nothing".
Between the two my life flows. Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
"Only a Dream" - Van Morrison
