I think most of us have an inkling that there's a way of knowing that's somehow independent of time, place, situation, and yes, even words, ideas & concepts. Mindfulness practices gently lead us to directly experience - to feel our way into - this way of knowing called awareness.

Be the awareness that welcomes your sensations and thoughts. Notice that awareness is not separate from thoughts, feelings, and sensations."
