We all want happiness, but what is it?
Don't we often look for happiness "in all the wrong places"? Isn't there an anxious, driven, compulsive quality to our striving? Don't we tend to grab the nearest or easiest thing or person to assuage our hunger for ... what?
What effect does being impatient to reach a goal have on our felt, experienced quality of life?
Even if it's a worthy, meaningful, even lofty goal, being in a hurry to achieve it has a distinctive impact doesn't it?
What if we step back a bit? See if we can hold the goal of this moment with a bit of space around it? The goal & our being wrapped up in it can be in the middle, while we step back and occupy as it were, a zone of spacious awareness?
