Urge to Act
Moment-by-moment, we're constantly on the move, at least mentally, if not verbally or other behaviors. We're driven to act. We're generally not fully-conscious of what we're doing, and even less conscious of why we're doing what we're doing. Much of our behavior is akin to constantly shifting the weight on our feet automatically whenever it becomes uncomfortable. We're a steady buzz of activity, automatically reacting to the flow of activity that surrounds us.
I twitch, therefore I'm alive ???
But what if we stop for a moment ..... and NOT react? What if we simply stop & observe what's going on? Doesn't the flow of activity to which we usually react, doesn't it simply pass away on its own, and so maybe we don't have to keep reacting? Isn't the "rat race," to a very large degree, optional?

this is the best season of your life.”
