Ready or Not ...
Things, exactly as they are, just keep knocking at our sensory doors. If we don't open the door, reality will simply break down all our defenses and march right through. We hear the knocking, but like a sleepy person unwilling to awaken, we keep pushing the snooze button - until ... Until we open up, becoming porous to the flow of the ever-changing present moment. Our self a mere verb instead of the quasi-solid blob we create, obsess over & anxiously pamper.
“Make your ego porous. Will is of little importance, complaining is nothing, fame is nothing.
Openness, patience, receptivity, solitude is everything.” Rainer Maria Rilke
"Stop the words now.
Open the window in the center of your chest, and
let the spirits fly in and out." Rumi
"There is no place to seek the mind: it is like footprints of the birds in the sky." from a Zen poem by Zenrin Kushu
