Thoughts in Perspective
Thoughts are sometimes described "as writing on water, in essence empty, insubstantial, and transient. I love that. Skywriting is another apt image. Touching soap bubbles is another lovely metaphor. In all of these images, thoughts can be seen to ‘self-liberate,’ to go poof just like soap bubbles when they are touched, or in our case when they are ‘touched’ by awareness itself – in other words, when they are recognized as thoughts, simply events arising, lingering, and passing away in a boundless and timeless field of awareness.”
